Announcement ************************************************************************************************ Lecture by Professor Sugata Bose on 21 August 2006 Professor Sugata Bose, Gardiner Professor of History, Harvard University, will deliver a talk on Historical Antecedents of Contemporary Globalization on 21 August 2006 at IDSK. ************************************************************************************************ The Indian edition of The Perilous Passage: Mankind and the Global Ascendancy of Capital by Amiya Kumar Bagchi has been published by Oxford University Press. In the distinction of the Indian edition is that the two appendices(one on Social Darwinism and Malthusianism, and the other on History of Ireland as a Colony) have been printed and added to the book.
